For Design Week 2026, Istituto Secoli and the Porta Venezia Design District (PVDD) have launched a strategic collaboration. At the heart of the project is the creation of an iconic jacket-uniform for the district staff, designed to reflect the dual soul of Porta Venezia: on one hand, its historic and monumental heritage; on the other, its rebellious and contemporary spirit.
Under the Creative Direction of Arthur Arbesser, with the coordination of Secoli faculty members Domenico Civita and Francesco Baldassarre, Secoli students and alumni developed several design proposals. The research explored innovative graphic solutions and functional variations, with a specific focus on gender-neutral fit and garment durability. The official uniform, designed by Andrea Bartoletti, was crafted using deadstock fabrics provided by partner Zerow—a marketplace specializing in textile recovery—demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.
The entire creative narrative takes center stage in a district-wide exhibition, spanning the spaces of Istituto Secoli and the foyer of Teatro Elfo Puccini, fostering a dialogue between education, design and the local community.
