Studio Laruffa Bottinelli Avvocati Associati presents SOGLIE
On the occasion of the Fuorisalone del Mobile – Milano Design Week 2025, from 7 April to 30 May Laruffa Bottinelli Avvocati Associati in Via Marcello Malpighi 4 in Milan will host a solo exhibition of the artist Stefano Paulon curated by Elena Amodeo and Vittorio Schieroni, organization and communication of the project by MADE4ART; the event is part of the 2025 edition of Porta Venezia Design District.
On display at the Milanese law firm are a series of artworks and installations representing the artistic production of Stefano Paulon: distinguished by a rigorous minimalism based on the relationship between geometric figures and the alternation of white, grey and black, or characterised by the all-encompassing monochrome of black, they reveal the artist’s desire to investigate, through the study of surfaces and form, the environment, its spatial boundaries and the harmonious balances that govern them. Tests of severity and aesthetic rigor, in the artist’s incessant search for an art capable of possessing a sort of “universal recognisability”.
SOGLIE, with opening day on Tuesday 8 April from 6 to 9 pm, can be visited during Milan Design Week (7-13 April) from 11 am to 5 pm, by appointment only until 30 May.
BIO
Stefano Paulon (1963, Cernusco sul Naviglio – Milan, Italy) is an italian artist, author, designer and collector, he lives and works between Milan, Como and Finale Ligure. In parallel with professional experiences in the industrial design and marketing sectors, he has developed an artistic path characterised by in-depth research into three-dimensional geometry and the relationship between surface, form and space. Initially interested in line drawing and the study of the human figure, over time his attention has shifted towards the design of furnishing accessories and the development of concepts in the field of lighting and architecture. His artistic work is distinguished by a minimalist language, where geometry becomes a tool for introspection and visual communication, aiming to generate a sense of environmental and conceptual harmony. Paulon’s artworks are characterised by elementary forms, reduced to the essential, which relate in a precise and calibrated way to the surrounding space. Each element, despite its simplicity, invites the viewer to reflect on the dynamics that exist between the solidity of the material and its perception in space. The research focuses not so much on the apparent formal complexity, but on the search for a perfect balance, where each form finds its own place and its own breath. Color plays an equally fundamental role in Paulon’s artworks. The white of snow and talcum powder, the gray of fog and smoke, the black of darkness and asphalt; these tones evoke sensations of purity, of transience, of an essential beauty that hides in simplicity. Each color, chosen with precision, is never just a decorative element, but a sign that dialogues with form and space, giving a silent and attractive rhythm to each composition. Finally, his works, for their ability to establish a dialogue between full and empty spaces, between light and shadow, between order and intuition, evoke a sense of contemplation and spirituality, with the aim of transforming geometry into a sensitive language that invites the viewer to an interior reflection of profound religiosity and transcendence. To date, Paulon’s exhibition activity involves both public and private institutions, both in Italy and abroad.
