Quooker presents Be Chef. Be Innovative. Be Quooker
What’s Quooker
Quooker, apparently a tap, is actually a kitchen appliance.
An innovative and original system that offers multiple advantages thanks to over 50 years of experience and more than 80 patents filed.
About Quooker
In 1970 the Rotterdam-born Henri Peteri worked at Unilever and while attending a presentation about instant soups he had the enlightenment that would revolutionize the lives of many people. “Yes, fine, it only takes 5 seconds to dissolve in boiling water and be consumed, but how many minutes to bring the water to a boil? Why can’t we get boiling water directly from the mixer tap in our homes instead?’’
In the beginning, it took a lot of time spent in the basement for Henri to make the first working system. Shortly thereafter, people who bought it discovered the advantages of applying it in everyday home life.
It was in 1992, when Henri was joined by his son Niels, that the product acquired the reliability that still distinguishes the Quooker brand nowadays. With the entry into the company of the second son Walter, Quooker then had that commercial drive that made it the market reference at international level.
Today Quooker is a multinational corporation active in several countries with a continuous growing network of dealers. The Italian headquarters opened in 2022 under the guidance of the Managing Director Paolo Magri, who brings his experience from the renowned Miele, Gessi and Smeg brands. He launched operations in grand style by attending both latest editions of Eurocucina with an impactful display of mirror games that allowed the public to admire a product that is not only innovative but also prestigious in design, finishes and materials.
Fuorisalone 2025
This year Quooker will be present at the Fuorisalone with an exhibition in Corso Venezia 2, at the corner with Piazza San Babila, a central location close to all the major kitchen showrooms that showcase Quooker products, such as the retailers of Binova, Minotti, Boffi, Siematic, Valcucine and Snaidero.
Inside the space at Corso Venezia 2, visitors will be able to learn about Quooker products and see them in action, discovering that you can cook under a tap as well as prepare hot drinks and cocktails. An appliance that accompanies the consumer throughout all phases of the day spent in a kitchen.
Quookery and Quooktail shows performed by chefs and bartenders will entertain guests by delighting them with finger food and drinks, all meticulously prepared under the flow of still or sparkling, cold or boiling water from the innovative Quooker systems.
The presence at the Fuorisalone will be supported by a massive TV campaign on the main national networks starting from the end of March.
Sustainability and benefits
- Energy saving. The Quooker system consumes very little energy thanks to the extremely effective insulation of the tank in which the boiling water is stored: thanks to the vacuum insulation and the shielding film, storing water at a temperature above boiling point consumes just 10 watts per day, less than the home WiFi router.
Quooker also offers a tank for filtered cold water, the CUBE device, which uses reusable CO₂ cylinders to provide cold and filtered, still and sparkling water directly from the tap. This is a responsible and sustainable solution as it eliminates the need to cool plastic bottles in the refrigerator. - Preservation of drinking water. Quooker is committed to ensuring a better distribution of drinking water by limiting its waste through the immediate supply of boiling water: think of when you boil twice as much water as you need because it will evaporate or when you open the tap waiting for the water to heat up, while many liters end up unused in the drain.
A COMBI tank saves an average of 4.500 litres per year and a PRO3 tank up to 500.
- Climate action. By using a Quooker COMBI, an average household saves around 500 kWh per year, which equates to about 225 kg of CO₂: the same amount of CO₂ that is emitted by driving 1.300 km with an average fossil-fuel-powered car.
- Circularity. The R&D department introduces an ever-increasing number of circular products, such as the CO₂ cylinders for dispensing sparkling water from the CUBE device. Empty cylinders, as well as cartridges from the Scale Control R descaling system, can be sent back to Quooker free of charge, where they are refilled and regenerated.
Like all the appliances manufacturers, the Return & Recovery department treats and recycles returned products in line with the provisions of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. - Safety. We design our products in such a way that accidents resulting from the supply of boiling water are almost impossible. The child-resistant knob, the supply of boiling water enriched with air and the perfect insulation of the tap spout have the aim to minimize the risk of burns.
