This year, Lund University School of Industrial Design has had the pleasure to collaborate with Gaggenau in creating our contribution to Milan Design Week 2025. Together we are exploring themes ranging from Manifesto to Fire, from Hospitality to Luxury in extreme conditions.

The themes are somehow further enhanced by the venue for the exhibition. LUSID has the fortune of ‘temporarily occupying’ and rethinking the lobby and garden of the IBIS hotel, located in Porta Venezia Design District, during one of their busiest weeks of the year. The building, originally designed by Roman architect Luigi Moretti in the late 1940s, gave rise to the new concept of the ‘house-hotel’.
