C41 presents C41 x RAY-BAN: MEGA BALORAMA ENDS UP IN THE CLUB
C41 Kiosk brings the energy of the club to the streets. From April 8th to 12th, a classic Milanese kiosk customized by C41 x Ray-Ban in Piazzale Lavater, Milan, will host a series of events connecting music, photography, and fashion.
This activation originates from the pages of C41 Magazine and is part of Mega Balorama Ends Up in the Club, the editorial project by C41 Magazine x Ray-Ban, which not only finds its place in the upcoming Issue 17, set for release in April, but also signs one of its cover stories.
A tribute to music and underground culture
The project celebrates the clubbing scene as a space of freedom and personal expression—elements that intertwine with Ray-Ban’s identity. Ray-Ban has always had a deep connection with music, supporting artists and cultural movements that embody its rebellious and authentic spirit. Music thus becomes a universal language that, together with Ray-Ban’s iconic presence, creates a bridge between the past, present, and future of underground culture. The Mega Balorama, a timeless icon reinterpreted for 2025, becomes the symbol of this narrative: sunglasses that offer a new perspective on the world.
This connection is brought to life in Mega Balorama Ends Up in the Club, thanks to the collaboration with C41 and the expertise of its founders Leone Balduzzi, Barbara Guieu, and Luca A. Caizzi, who have consistently featured high level DJs from the Milanese and international scene in their projects and event productions, while also excelling in discovering emerging talent.
C41 has the power to transform the ordinary into extraordinary stories, capturing real people and their authenticity through a fresh perspective. The continuous search for talent capable of telling these stories from a unique point of view is a key element of its vision. The richness that comes from the streets is thus elevated into an extraordinary experience, receiving the attention it deserves and finding space in a prestigious showcase, supported by brands that share C41’s vision.
For this project, the talent scouting focused on Marseille, offering local photographer Morgan Delaygue the opportunity to tell the story of the city through his authentic perspective. This choice not only enhances the local scene, but also allowed Morgan to engage with a high-level brand like Ray-Ban. Through spontaneous and immersive images, the editorial documents the beating heart of the underground scene, experienced by a Marseille community.
The city was selected for its rebellious spirit and deep-rooted connection to electronic music. A place where Mediterranean influences blend with cultural diversity to create a unique musical and artistic landscape. Here, clubbing is more than just a music genre; it is a language of freedom, an act of rebellion, a collective ritual.
Delaygue, originally from Valencia and deeply connected to the city of Marseille, captured the authenticity of this scene, creating powerful and genuine visual storytelling, filtered through the lenses of the Mega Balorama. In this world, every individual becomes a protagonist, both inside and outside the club.
C41 Kiosk x Ray-Ban: a meeting point for fashion, photography, and music
Throughout the week, the C41 Kiosk x Ray-Ban, open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, will be a space for discovery and sharing, animated by a rich program of events.
Inaugurating the first day, Fatima Koanda will take the stage on April 8th from 9:00 PM. DJ and producer, she blends electronic influences, Afro-futuristic rhythms, and experimental beats. Supporting her and setting the scene, at 7:00 PM, the duo Vicky & Soy will offer a sonic journey through experimentation and musical contamination.
On April 11th, for the Closing Party, C41 Kiosk will host a DJ set by Populous from 9:00 PM. One of the most influential producers in the international electronic music scene, he mixes tropical elements, bass music, and dreamlike atmospheres. Opening the night, at 7:00 PM, Duwe’s soundscapes promise an immersive and hypnotic experience.
About C41
C41 is a Creative Platform with a focus and interest in fashion and design. We’re multidisciplinary and tell stories across content production and event production. Through an independently printed and digital magazine, we also work on editorial projects and offer our media platforms as a space for collaboration and distribution. With the opening of C41 Gallery, in which we explore the boundaries of contemporary visual culture, we expand our space of experimentation and creative research thanks to a selected group of artists who will inhabit the space.
About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban isn’t just an eyewear brand – it’s a way of life. Born in 1937 to meet the needs of US Air Force pilots, the first pair of pilot glasses set the pioneering path in innovation and style. It was the beginning of an icon, with many others to come. For over 80 years, it has been seen – and continues to be – on the faces of history makers and culture creators – those who fearlessly push boundaries every day. Ray- Ban is always at the edge of shifting cultural horizons, always visionary, real and for all.
The Mega Balorama represents a new evolution of a legendary design, embracing contemporary culture without losing its iconic essence. This reinterpretation celebrates the rebellious and visionary spirit that has always distinguished Ray-Ban, reinforcing its role as a reference point for those who wish to express their individuality without compromise.
